Dr Gerald Jerome Maarman is a medical lecturer at Stellenbosch University, currently serving in the Division of Medical Physiology within the Faculty of Medicine and Health
Sciences. He holds an NRF Y-2 researcher rating, reflecting his status as a promising young researcher in his field. Dr Maarman is recognized for his research on cardiopulmonary
diseases, particularly pulmonary arterial hypertension, and is also active in science communication and community development. He is a committed Christian and is scheduled to
